Job description

As a dedicated nurse, you work exclusively on projects assigned to you, within which you are fully available to your patient and doctor in the preparation, initiation and follow-up of Parkinson's patients.
• Your job mainly consists of compiling a file for reimbursement of the product, titrating the medication, educating patients and/or caregivers about the correct execution of home administration as well as the use of medical equipment and the further follow-up and guidance of patients throughout the program.
• Every patient you visit has a different profile. It is your job to adapt to the patient's needs and provide customized care.
• You also provide support to the pharmaceutical company by attending internal meetings and training courses. • For this project we are looking for an autonomous nurse who is willing to build up a great expertise within the domain of Parkinson. Technically the nurse must be strong, mainly in the use of a specific pump and in placement and care of tubes. Furthermore, the nurse must have a certain commercial feeling.
• This project requires great flexibility from the nurse. The start-up processes of patients are intensive, while at other times it will be quiet. It is up to the nurse to determine and monitor the balance in this.
• Hands-on mentality: you have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, BaNaBA Healthcare Management or equivalent through experience.
• You speak and write fluent French and Dutch.
• You have several years of experience as a nurse.
• You have a driving license B and are willing to travel throughout Belgium (Brussels - Namur region)
• You are flexible and open to a work schedule that alternates between intensive weeks and quiet weeks.
• You have sufficient computer knowledge and are administratively skilled.
• Expertise in the field of Parkinson's is a plus.

Emergency Nurse (B-12/24-031)
Job description
• Welcome patients and their companions upon their arrival at the emergency room: assess the seriousness of their situation by asking the various
• Intervene, assess the degree of urgency of the treatment and take them to the appropriate waiting or treatment location;
• Settle patients, ensuring their comfort, undress them or freshen them up if necessary;
• Make a nursing diagnosis to the assigned patient: take the parameters (blood pressure, pulse, etc.), take anamnesis for the doctor and examine the patient's complaints;
• Take charge of acute problems in emergency situations on one's own initiative, while waiting for the doctor, for example by stabilizing the patient with an acute pathology related to the heart or respiratory tract;
• Assist the physician in medical diagnosis: notify the emergency physician or specialist of the patient's arrival, report the pathology and give an estimate of the degree of urgency;
• Carry out, according to the doctor's instructions, additional examinations such as an ECG, monitor, etc.;
• Start the intervention on the orders of the emergency physician:
- Carry out, according to the instructions of the emergency physician, technical nursing and medical procedures assigned such as intubation of patients, placement of urinary catheters, blood tests, wound care, etc.;
- Observe and monitor throughout the intervention, the various parameters and the state of health of the assigned patients, detect possible changes and anticipate crisis situations;
• Prepare the equipment used during the execution of medical treatment and assist the doctor during the execution of these medical acts;
• Prepare, according to the medical prescription, the medication, check it, administer it and monitor its effects; • Inform and support patients and their families upon arrival at the emergency room: reassure them, support them in difficult situations and provide explanations regarding medical examinations and treatments;
• Inform the family or companion about the patient's condition and request, if necessary, additional information about the patient;
• Provide information to patients when they leave the emergency room: provide explanations on follow-up care, medication use and any foreseeable complaints;
• Take care, if necessary, of the patient's admission to the hospital: arrange the admission via an admission system, inform the relevant department and, if necessary, accompany the patient to the department;
• Create a patient file or complete the existing file: record patient data, examinations carried out, nursing actions and medication administered;
• Indicate parameters and observations in the patient's file;
• Report, both orally and in writing, on the health status of patients;
• Ensure the correct functioning of technical equipment within his department;
• Rinse used medical equipment and tidy up the treatment room;
