Nurse wanted for high-intensity unit with dual diagnosis treatment, acute function and intervention team (IVT), Psykiatrien Syd, Vordingborg

The patients in section S1 are looking for a nurse who wants to be there for them when they are at their worst and there is a need for hospitalization. The nurse is an ambassador for the work to reduce violence and coercion by creating a healing and developing environment where it is nice to be. The nurse must be able to work very independently but will have good cooperation and sparring with other professional groups in relation to receiving new patients, making professional decisions and resolving acute situations as best as possible.

The nurse will be responsible and IVT leader for the entire hospital and will therefore also have close cooperation with the staff in the other departments. An extra supplement is given for the responsibility that the nurse has.

As a nurse in S1, you will be trained to be able to lead IVT. IVT assists the other departments in finding solutions to conflicts together with the patient or intervening before conflicts arise in order to avoid escalation, violence and coercion. IVT also has an out-of-hours function, where IVT can be called round the clock to the somatic departments at Nykøbing F. Hospital for sparring and assistance.

If you think you lack psychiatric experience, do n't hold back. You will have the opportunity for training and you will go through a detailed introduction program and be assigned a mentor who takes responsibility for your learning and socialization in the section.

Section S1 is a high-intensity bed section with 22 beds, divided by 12 beds in S1-29 and 10 beds in S1-32. The care staff consists of nurses, social and health assistants, occupational therapists and social pedagogues, who work in a contact person arrangement and are therefore assigned to either the work group in section 29 or 32.

We work from a mentalization and recovery-oriented understanding and have implemented the 10 Safewards interventions, which together with a distinct relationship and de-escalation approach create a safe and secure environment. An important part of the work in S1 involves working preventively and reacting early to any signs of deterioration in patients to avoid escalated situations.
